Just a quick update for this little outing we did earlier in the week. What struck me about Emerald Hill was the small scale of the old quaint buildings compared to the huge malls and high rises around. It really was a little gem in the middle of an otherwise central area of shopping, metro stops and traffic. The colors were beautiful. I only had the iPhone camera this time but I hope to go back with the DSLR and have some fun with the colors and textures.
New City, New Baby {} Family Session, San Francisco
What an adorable family! They just had their baby girl 1 month before our little Lulu was born so I had a very soft spot in my heart for this little one and her parents. They just moved to San Francisco and were looking to get some family photos as well as some of just baby R doing her latest tricks. She’s rolling over, doing impressive tummy time, and giggling up a storm when her daddy makes funny sounds. Being my first shoot back after Lulu’s birth, I thought I would have a hard time, but after the initial “walking out the door” moment, I was fine and Lulu did great! Thank you T family for inviting me into your home and your life as new parents. It’s an incredible time of new everything and I hope we captured the spirit of your beautiful little R!

This little boy melted my heart with that smile that was so ready at every click of the camera! And his Mom and Dad looked sharp in their outfits, including Dad’s uniform since he was stationed on Treasure Island the day of our shoot. What a beautiful day and view we had! These three have a very sweet bond that came through the whole time we spent together and shines in the images here. Thank you ‘H’ family for supporting your preschool and buying this auction item last year. It really was a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to future photo dates with you!

Remember the beautiful “big brother” and “big sister” maternity shoot from a while back? Well, here they are with little ‘A’ at 5 months old and as adorable as his big brother and sister! This family just finished building their stunning new home so we set out to capture them in all it’s light and bright newness. I love these shots of the kids individually too. Their energetic and smiley dispositions shine! Congrats on the new additions and I look forward to watching your beautiful babies grow over the next years!

We have been blessed with beloved friends and family showering us with baby gifts over the past few months so I decided to put my fabric dress origami skills to work for some very special thank you notes. I should send them before I post this but I’m too antsy to share this! I just love them. I used a new product called Terial Magic to treat the fabric first. This Magic solution makes the fabric stiff and keeps it from fraying so you can cut and fold like paper! Origami, quilt making, fabric flowers… you name it! My mom is the lovely brain behind this product and I am not just plugging this stuff because of her
It’s really fun to play with fabric once it’s not flopping and fraying about! Enjoy!
Baker Beach Play Date {} Family Session, San Francisco
We could not have planned a better day to head to Baker Beach for this beautiful family’s photo date! They drove a long way to be here and I was hoping for decent weather, but this was beyond any nice day I have ever seen out there. Little ‘C’ was excited to get her toes and fingers in the sand but not so sure about the water. Mom and Dad chased her around and we caught her in some very cute moments on her own as well as the three of them snuggling and exploring the beach. I loved meeting you guys and hope to see you on a future play date! Enjoy!

Sunny Morning Park Fun {} Family Mini Session
Heading off to the park on a sunny morning with these guys was super fun. As little ‘H’ is growing fast and is so curious about everything, we were all on the move during this portrait session. At the end we found a beautiful tree to camp under and got some fun shots with dad and mama and then as a family. Enjoy!

Brian Swope is the talented designer behind Tierra Seca, a landscape design firm here in San Francisco. I had the pleasure of working with him last week to document his latest project in the East Bay. The rocks, grasses, terracing and materials came together beautifully! This project was recently featured in a world class garden tour attended by landscape designers from all over the globe.
